Princess Cruises “These Are The Days” — South Pacific Campaign

Princess Cruises “These Are The Days”

I was recently had an amazing experience working alongside director Edward Copestick and cinematographer Spencer Frost, as one of two cinematographers on Princess Cruises’ new Australian campaign, “These Are The Days.” The commercial showcases the beauty of Fiji and the South Pacific, inviting audiences to slow down and enjoy the simple, timeless moments that make a holiday unforgettable.

Filming across Fiji’s lush landscapes and turquoise waters was an incredible experience. My role focused on capturing both the intimacy of holidaymakers on their unique journeys and the grandeur of the South Pacific. To achieve a cinematic yet organic feel, we shot on vintage lenses, which brought a softness and texture to the images that matched the emotional tone of the campaign.

Building on Past Collaborations

I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with Princess Cruises on a number of campaigns over the years, including projects in New Zealand and Tasmania. Each location offers its own challenges and rewards, but what ties them together is the chance to tell authentic, visually rich stories that connect audiences to the wonder of travel.

A Collaborative Process

Campaigns like this are always about collaboration. Working alongside another cinematographer, the director, and a dedicated production crew, we crafted visuals that not only sell the dream of a cruise, but also resonate with real emotional connection. For me, the challenge was translating the textures of Fiji — the shifting ocean light, the warmth of local culture, the sense of adventure — into frames that feel alive and transportive.

Inspiring Future Journeys

I’m proud to have been part of this campaign and to contribute to a piece of work that will inspire Australians to explore the South Pacific with Princess Cruises.
